Chartered Quantity Surveyors in East Anglia and Greater London
We have built our business on the strength of our reputation, which has largely been built on personal recommendation.
Our commitment to quality and efficiency has furnished us with several very positive customer testimonials from domestic and commercial clients.
We aim to give prompt service, in a friendly but professional manner. Our prices are competitive because our overheads are lower than most larger firms. Maintaining full professional indemnity insurance cover is mandatory for all chartered surveying practices.
People sometimes ask what a Quantity Surveyor does. Well, when a new building is required or an existing one is altered, the Architect designs the work, whereas the Quantity Surveyor provides costs for the work.
So, when the Architect produces sketch designs of a building, we are able to cost it. We can then review and refine the costs as the design develops. We can produce a tender document for builders to price, and draw up contract documents when a contractor is selected. We will value the building works as it proceeds and value any variations to the original tender design. On completion we will produce a final account, showing what the finished building has cost.
So we are able to provide cost advice from the earliest stages right through until the building works are completed.
